Winter Excursion 1, Day 39

Cold here today, woke up to 28 and the high was 44!
The family sleep in last night was a blast. We had one Kiddo in our bed and Bri & Nicole had the other. Our Kiddo was the best as Wesley didn't move the whole night. Kennedy on the other hand was a wiggle worm.
Bri grabbed a shower after breakfast and Nicole and the Kiddos hung out till noon.
We took a short hike and the Kiddos got to play in the playground. Dogs all got their walks, and we checked out the fishing peer at the campground.
So last night we had a good time. We were without a doubt the loudest camper in the area! Kiddos went to bed. We watched football and misbehaved!
Here's an example (my DIL may never speak to me again), but I can't resist.
We get to see the Kiddos tomorrow as thier parents are going to misbehave again tomorrow at their Naughty Santa Party.
S0 early to bed tonight. We are still having a great time on this trip!

Winter Excursion 1, Day 38

Today was Pageant Day. Wesley woke up on the wrong side of the bed and had a WMD (Wesley Melt Down). He was not satisfied with fresh milk when he woke up, he wanted the old stuff from last night.
Nicole and Brian tied one on last night... so Grandma and Granddad had to stay over.  We started the day with an awesome breakfast (Farmers breakfast, courtesy of Nicole), and then off to the Pageant.
Selfie of the proud parents.
Wesley was jingle bell leader in the pageant.
And Kennedy was the Angel/North Star. The kids were so cute and we were all proud.
Daddy and his angel
Back at the camper, Kiddos decided their voice sounds cool with a clip on their nose.

Kennedy decided that pink is great, even if it's freezing (supposed to go down to 28 tonight). Notice the Viszla nose.
Bri brought some nice steaks for dinner, we got the Kiddos in bed, Seahawk's game on the TV, and we drank too much wine again tonight.
Headed to bed and with 6 people in the camper it should be interesting..

Winter Excursion 1, Day 37

This will be the first night we have not slept in the camper. Arrived at the kids this morning at 1030, BS duties are in full swing. Cath started on the Christmas cookies while doing our laundry. I did a few errands and then came home to play with the Kiddos.
Wesley, Kennedy. and Kaylee were great this afternoon.
I think he was actually kicking her away from his snacks,
The Kiddos put on a rock concert.
And we did a rotisserie chicken on Brian's grill. Turned out good and the Kiddos each ate a drum bone.
Bri and Nicole went out tonight with friends. It's 2245 and we are still waiting for them to come home. We hope they didn't abandon us. Off to bed.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 36

Missed the Kiddos today! But we get to see them tomorrow.
Had a lazy morning and watched Hallmark movies, our tear ducts are empty.
Met Bri for lunch at a great pizza joint, EVO Pizza. Fresh local ingredients, great beer, and a laid back atmosphere.
Did a little commissary shopping, gave Kaylee a long run, and finished all our Christmas shopping.
Back at the camper, peel n' eat shrimp (local) for dinner. Probably will look at the tube for a little while and then early to bed as the BSing starts tomorrow.
Can anyone guess what this is?

Winter Excursion 1, Day 35

Slept last night like we were bears in hibernation...LOL. Actually I was drinking coffee at 0730, made farmers breakfast, and we were off to do a little Christmas shopping by 1100. Picked up a few camp things from Camping-World, stopped at Gander Mountain, and of course Cath had to check out Pier One. Back at camp I had a few projects. Cath made one of my favorites for dinner, Sticky Chicken.
Before dinner we watched the sunset and had a toddy or two.
Monday night football and then off to bed.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 34

Moving Day. Packed up from our favorite campground and was ready to roll by 1100 (yep, we were lazy this morning). but it was only 25 miles to our new home. We are back at Foster Creek and will be here until 20 Dec when we move back to Buck Hall on Bulls Bay. Set up and was ready to go to the kids by 1500. Arrived at the kids and the Tree is all set!
Watched a few minutes of football, played with the Kiddos, and yakked with Bri & Nicole. Then it was off to the Mt Pleasant Holiday Parade and what a parade it was!  Here's a few pics:
The parade started out with fireworks.
The Kiddos awaiting the start of the parade.
Here's just a few of the over 100 floats, trucks, and cars.

Here's the Kiddos and their friends dancing to the Christmas music.
I actually took over 50 pics at the parade. It was amazing. Probably 5 to 10 thousand people there, all the kids loved it. Cath and I were overwhelmed, only in a big city could this happen.
Here's Mama in the back of the car prior to the ride home.  It was gridlock, took 1 hour to drive 5 miles. Guess what's in the cup...LOL.
Bri took us home through a neighborhood near them. Here's a few of the private home's Christmas light displays. I thought I was watching HGTV.
These inflatable deer were at least 20 ft high.
Back at camp by 2200.  We have the day off tomorrow and will probably sleep till noon. The Kiddos will wear you out, but we love them.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 33

Left the camper this morning at 0930. Got to the Kiddos at 1000, and headed out in search of a Christmas tree. We found the perfect tree not far from their house, loaded it up, and had it setup in the house by 1130. Here's a few pics of the Kiddos at the Christmas Tree joint.
The Kiddos on a giant pumpkin.
 Kiddos on a sleigh.
And Nicole, Kennedy, and Wesley near the trees.
Back at the Kids, we had a quick lunch and the girls were off to the Nutcracker show.
Wes and I stayed home, watched Disney shows till we dropped, and basically had a great time.
Nice spaghetti dinner and Cath and I were off to the camper as tomorrow is moving day back to Foster Creek.
