Winter Excursion 1, Day 62

Nicole's Birthday and our last day in South Carolina.
The day started at our favorite Fried Seafood place (SeeWee's). Fried Calamari for all as an appetizer. Here's a pic of my plate. Fried oysters, scallops, onion rings, Cole slaw, and red rice. Yum! We will miss lunches here.
Back at the house we watched some football and had a Ninja demo by Wesley.
Brian made an awesome dinner for Nicole's birthday. Pork tenderloin and pears in a cream sauce, with pasta. He also made a cream boulee, the Kiddos loved it!
Wesley showed off some of his evening attire.
Then the Kiddos were off to bed as tomorrow is a school day. We will miss them, but they are coming to our campground in Georgia next weekend.
A special Thanks to Bri and Nicole! Cath and I have had a great two months with them and the Kiddos. We would not trade these few months for anything.
Caught the end of the football game and then Cath and I headed to camp. Going to be cold again tonight, it's already 28 and supposed to go to 22.
We are off to Holbrook Pond Campground at Ft Stewart, GA in the morning.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 61

Rainy and cold this morning.
Left the camper at 1130. Got to the Kids and said Hi, dropped off Kaylee, and Cath and I headed to downtown Charleston via Uber. We had a great lunch at 167 Raw (google it). The oyster basket was to die for. Did the market and had a few toddies at Queology (BBQ joint) and Ubered back to the Kids.
Bri and I did a repair job on their dryer (belt replacement). That 15 minute job took two hours, but it works.
Bri and Nicole made a great steak dinner, the Kiddos entertained us during the meal.
Watched some football and Cath and I headed back to the camper. It's supposed to be 24 deg tonight, hope the propane holds out and the water lines don't freeze. Time will tell.
Off to bed, tomorrow is Nicole's birthday and we are meeting at our favorite seafood hangout for lunch.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 60

Another Great Day!
Started out with the Kiddos waking up. Nothing warms a Grandparent's heart like watching the Kiddos wake up.
Cath made pancakes and sausage for breakfast and the Kiddos loved it, they ate like cute little HOGS!
Mom showed up around 1200 and immediately hit the hammock, of course the Kiddos hit it with her.
Cath and Kennedy made some peanut butter balls coated in graham cracker crumbs, they were yummy.
Had some ribs for dinner that Granddad started at 1200 (3-2-1 is the best).
Only two more days and we have to leave. We will miss the Kids and Kiddos, but we have a lot more to see and do on this trip. Cath and I are off to downtown Charleston tomorrow and then dinner with the Kiddos.
Right now we are in BSing recovery mode and will sleep like bears tonight.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 59

Cath and I woke up thinking about the Kiddos, as they are spending the night! Cath felt better this morning. We did a little shopping in preparation for the Kiddos. Nicole brought them over in the afternoon and Kennedy got an early B-day present. She likes her new scooter.
A test drive was in order!

The kiddos were all about going to the playground, as there were lots of other Kiddos there.
These two blondies were riding around in their Jeep, Wes was all about it.
Lots of Kiddos at the playground.
Tacos and quesadillas for dinner, Cinderella for the evening movie and then all are off to bed. Another great day with the Kiddos.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 58

Cath was still under the weather today, so it was off to the Doc. She feels a little better and should be OK tomorrow. Time will tell.
Dropped Cath's old phone off to Nicole as her's died two days ago. I'm sure I saved her from having severe withdrawal symptoms due to no phone syndrome.
Spent a little time with the Kiddos, then headed back home to check on Cath. Gave Kaylee a good run, did some errands, hit the commissary, and did a few camper chores.
Mostly a down day today.
Sorry, no pics.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 57

Work Detail Day!
Cath was a little under the weather, so she stayed home. Kaylee and I headed to Brian & Nicole's for our Work Detail.
Repaint the fireplace mantel was first and it turned out nice. A little plumbing in the bathrooms came next and both jobs were a success. Some trees damaged by the hurricane came next and as long as Bri had a chainsaw in his hand a few other trees bit the dust also.
Nicole made some ham sandwiches for lunch and Bri and I managed to sneak a few beers in-between the slavery. The Kiddos did some painting of their own after they got home from school.
Headed home to take care of my Honey about 1600. If she's not better tomorrow it's off to the Doc. A few toddies, a little TV, and then off to bed.

Winter Excursion 1, Day 56

Got up early as the Kiddos were in full swing at 0700. Spent the morning playing with them. Cath and I came back to the camper around 1100, as we'd been away from it for two days. All was well. Cath grabbed a well deserved nap and I chilled out under the awning, Kaylee was also low key all day.
Towards evening we got the drone out. Cath can fly it too!
She did a great job! This pic was taken from the drone.
And here's a video from the drone.
Fired up the egg and had pork chops for dinner. Watched a little TV and then off to bed.
