Winter Excursion 4, Day 36

Cath started her baking today. The Cream Cheese Brownies are good as usual.
I spent pretty much the whole day washing, waxing, and detailing the truck.
Nicole took the Kiddos for haircuts. They both look really good!
Do Re Mi pizza (our favorite) for dinner. Then Brain and Nicole left for a friend's Christmas Party. The Kiddos and us watched Cheaper By the Dozen II, and we laughed ourselves silly.
Kiddos hit the rack, Brian and Nicole got home early, and we all hit the sack!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 35

Got up, cleaned the camper, and got ready to go over to the Kid's for WW duty. We no longer BS (Baby Sitting) we WW (Wacko Watching) now!
Cath got the rest of the stuff she needs for Christmas baking. I ran a few errands.
We grilled a nice flank steak for dinner and Nicole left for her Tennis Team Christmas Party.
The Kiddos went to bed on time as they have school tomorrow.
Brian and Nicole got home and we watched a little football.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 34

We did a few errands this morning after we got the morning chores done.
Drove over to Camping World to pickup an order we placed last week. Naturally the truck did not come in this week, so we'll have to go back next week.
Cath did a little commissary shopping for her Christmas Cookie supplies. She will get started on those this weekend.
Spent the afternoon in camp playing cribbage. Had a nice dinner, then Brian stopped over to get the Kiddo's bikes.
It's been another nice day, the weather has been perfect.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 33

We did a little camp maintenance this morning. The Dish TV was not working and the culprit was a corroded coax connector on the outside of the camper. I replaced it and all works well again.
We drove over to the Kid's house to pick up the extension hose we needed for the propane fireplace. I think we scared the crap out of the babysitter who was there for a friend of Nicole's baby. It all worked out in the end.
We drove over to James Island County Park to check out the route and the campground. We will be there for a week in January. The dog park there is one of the best we have ever seen. It is on an island and is huge. Normally Kaylee wants nothing to do with dog parks, but she had a good time and even a little swim. Here's a few pics:

Forgot to post a pic of our current campsite, so here it is.

And this is "Spike". We picked him up off the porch at our neighbors (Jerry & Carolyn). He had fallen off a big Spider plant and was on the floor. We gave him a little plant food yesterday and he perked right up. I'll post more pics as he grows.

Sat by the fire this evening for toddies and snacks. Had a nice dinner then off to bed.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 32

Talk about a "down day" we had a great one, although we missed the Kiddos. We slept in till 0800 - 0900 and then had a really lazy morning.
We finally rousted ourselves out of the camper for quick trip to Wally World for a few supplies.
Back at camp we took a short walk with Kaylee. She is getting so bad with her shyness that she will only go for a walk when we both are with her!
Cath made a nice shrimp dinner and we watched a few shows and a little football this evening.
Maybe a little exploring will be on the ticket for tomorrow.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 31

The Kiddos slept-in until 0800! We had a quick breakfast and then drove over to the Kid's house around 1000.
Brain and I spent the day decorating the house. He and Nicole did all the high work yesterday. We finished up all the lower stuff today. Here's the finished product! We think it came out great!

Nicole made a nice turkey casserole for dinner, then Cath and I headed back to camp. We got this pic from her on our way home. Brain and Kennedy wasted no time falling asleep. 

It's been a fun holiday weekend, lots of food and fun!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 30

Nobody got to sleep in! The craziness began at 0630.

We all had a breakfast of M&Ms and Skittles, then headed to the playground.

This is Miss Kennedy with her snake skin. They also found a dead millipede, a dead mouse, and a dead frog!

This is arts and crafts time before we left for Evo's.

Here's Wesley on the 20 minute ride to dinner where we met Brian & Nicole. They were happy to see the Kiddos.

It's been a fun day and as usual we will sleep good tonight.
