Winter Excursion 4, Day 67

We had an easy pack up and move. We left James Island County Park at 1030. It's been a great campground and park.
Arrived Edisto Beach State Park Campground at 1230. Here's a pic of the site. We are only 100 yds from the beach, but 1 1/4 miles (by foot) from my fishing spot.
Sunset at Edisto. It's been a beautiful day.
The campsite in the evening. We are really liking our propane fire place.
One more view.
Early to bed, fishing in the morning.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 66

Pancakes for breakfast,
Here's Wes getting ready to go out for a pizza lunch. Kennedy was jazzed also. We all headed to Baker and Brewer and enjoyed a good lunch.
Here's Wes and I waiting for all the girls to be ready to go. It was a long wait!
The whole family after stuffing ourselves with pizza, olives, and beer.
We all parted ways after lunch. Cath & I to camp to pack up and get ready to move tomorrow. Bri and the Kiddos to a movie, and Nicole to do a little shopping.
The Kiddos have school tomorrow and Bri and Nicole have to get them back on schedule.
Cath and I have to do whatever we want to do. No schedule is fun!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 65

We had a fun night and morning with the Kiddos.
Here's Grandma and Wes trying to wake up.
Kennedy thinks waking up can be fun...here's her look!
We all had a quick breakfast. then took a nice walk to the playground. After that we headed back to the Kid's house.
Brian and I finished the shelf in the kitchen and did a few other projects in the garage. Football was the topic of the day. My team lost, his won!
We had a great dinner of filet mignon leftover from Christmas dinner.
As always sleep will come easy. This is our last night at the Kiddo's house.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 64

I left the camper just before sunrise this morning. The tide was perfect and I probably caught 20 Sea Trout. Most were not legal size, but catch and release is fun also. I kept two for a future dinner.

We went shopping late morning to stock up as the freezer is empty.
Nicole and the Kiddos arrived around 1530. After Nicole left we went over to the playground.
Back at camp the Kiddos meet some of the other kids in the campground. One of them had a hoverboard and Wes and Kennedy fell in love.
We all had a nice dinner and a movie. Bedtime was actually early: 2100!
Wes's blog: Can you please get me a parrot!
Kennedy's blog: I really had fun at the campground!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 63

After a few cups of coffee and a nice breakfast of tortillas and eggs we headed back to the camper. I went over to the fishing pier, but had no luck. The tide was not right.
We took Kaylee for a little walk and then sat at the camper for ABs and people watching.
Here's pic of Kaylee and her "I want my dinner look".
Sea Trout for dinner, a little TV, then off to bed.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 62

We had a fun morning with the Kiddos. We watched a show, had some breakfast, and then headed to the Kid's house around noon.
Brian and I got the shelf for the kitchen cabinet put together and painted.
For dinner we had our obligatory Alaskan King Crab. As usual it was fantastic.
After dinner Kennedy decided we had to have a funny hairdo contest. Here's the result:

We all played some UNO. All in all it was a great News Years Day. Happy New Year to all.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 61

We left the Mt Pleasant KOA around 1130 after doing some shopping. The drive south on RT17 was fairly easy, traffic was not too bad. The weather once again is perfect, the humidity is gone and temps are back in the 60s.
We arrived at James Island County Park CG and got all set up by 1430. This is a really nice CG and the place is packed.
Nicole and the Kiddos arrived around 1500. We walked over to the playground and then checked out the Outdoor Zone. The climbing wall is really high!
Cath made some goulash for dinner. Everyone enjoyed it.
Here's a pic of me with Kennedy's new hat. Of course she had to try on mine.
This is a pic of Wesley in his bribery negotiating mode!
Here's the campsite all lit up for New Year's Eve.
Nicole, Cath, and the Kiddos walked over to the Festival of Lights. I stayed at camp with Kaylee as she is super upset with all the fireworks noise.
The park had a really nice fireworks display at 2100 and we had a great view from the campsite.
After the show Nicole headed home. We played the longest game of UNO with the Kiddos on record. The game must have lasted an hour and no one ever did win! The four of us were in bed by 2300. It's been a fun, long day!
