Winter Excursion 4, Day 152

We did not leave camp today, although Cath did Laundry at the campground laundry.
Here's our pic of the day!

We will post a pic of us in the campground everyday for the next few weeks. Hope everyone is safe and well. Be safe, stay at home, Social Distance, and we will all get through this!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 151

We spent the day "Social Distancing" although we did do some food shopping. The weather this afternoon was great. Got these pics of Cath under the tulip tree behind the camper.

We just watch the campers coming and going. Most are Canadians headed home and only spend one night here.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 150

We had some pretty good thunderstorms this morning so we slept in until 0830! Actually we had nothing else to do!
Later in the morning we went over to the Home Depot in this area. Backstory is when we got to this campground they wanted to see our Good Sam membership card. While I was digging that out I saw two rebate cards ($40 ea) from Home Depot (forgot I had them). I also noticed that they expire the end of this month (3 days left). So we went to Home depot and got a new door mat, a new kitchen mat, and a new set of LED lights to hang from the awning!
Back at camp the campground is almost empty. We watched a few campers come in, but nothing like yesterday.
So a few toddies, a nice dinner, some TV, then off to bed.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 149

The day started at 0630. A couple cups of coffee and then we finished packing and hooking up. We were out of our site by 0800.
On the road we traveled I-81 for 335 miles to our new campground outside of Winchester, VA. The Interstate had lots of trucks, but was not busy for the most part.  It's a nice CG, but it's private and a bit pricey for us, but we do have full hookups! Unless this place closes we will be here until 15 Apr. Here's a pic of the site.
There are lots of Canadians here. Most are doing overnights or maybe two nights while headed home. They are really worried that the borders will be closed!
Cath and I are just going to hunker down here for two weeks. I don't think the blog will be too exciting as we won't be traveling around the area except to get food. Everything is closed! All is well in the Boss Camp!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 148

We hung out at camp today. Got everything packed up and ready to move. A few hands of cards and goodbyes with the neighbors (from 8 ft away)!
Filled up the truck for $1.74! Picked up a pizza for dinner.
Off to bed early as we want to leave early.
I may never drink another Corona again!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 147

The day started out really nice! Sunny with sun in the forecast for the next four days. We had a nice morning getting camp set up and drying things out. We even got a nice walk in and Kaylee had a blast. We met a few other campers from Maine and had a fun talk with them.
Here's a few pics of our campsite in the sun!

Just after cocktail hour we got an email from Tennessee State parks that they are closing starting this Friday. We have to be out of here by Friday, 27 Mar 20 at 1630. Again we are disappointed and have to figure out just where we are going from here. Our next campground was a Virginia State Park, but now they have closed also.
I was able to get a reservation at a private campground near Winchester, VA. We are bummed. We think these CGs are the best place to "social distance", but government has other ideas. It doesn't matter that hundreds of vehicles, bikers, and hikers walk through this these parks every day. It is what it is...we will be moving day after tomorrow! Damn!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 146

While I was drinking my coffee this morning I kept hearing something banging into the camper. Turns out this cardinal keeps banging into the window. I think it's because he can see himself (the windows are black on the outside and act like a mirror). He must be lonely! I tried to get a video, but he hasn't been back.
We left camp this morning and drove to an RV dealer not far from here. We needed a new water pressure regulator. The water pressure has been really low and the regulator was the culprit.
We stopped at the grocery store on the way home and picked up a few things. The store was stocked very well except for the paper isle. Seems everyone still wants all the TP they can get.
Spent the late afternoon playing cards and watching MeTV. The old shows are a hoot. I'll have to get the satellite out tomorrow and see if I can get some reception.
Kaylee says Hi to all and wanted to show off her bowtie.
All is well in the Boss isolation camp!
