We left Candy Hill in the morning at 0800 and drove the whole way home, 460 miles. We decided not to stay at Montrose Campground as the weather was perfect today, although a little cold. As in years past the snow greeted us going over Tug Hill. Welcome to Lewis County!
All is well at the house. We have some cleaning up to do as the ladybugs and mice had a party while we were gone.
So here are the stats for this years trip.
We stayed at 19 different campgrounds, but had 10 reservations canceled due to the Covid-19 virus.
We drove a total of 9272.2 miles.
The camper now has a total of 22045.8 miles on it (in three years)!
Average MPG was 10.3 for the whole trip (towing and when not). So we used 900.2 gals of gas, at $2.25/gal (estimate) we spent $2045 on gas! The lowest we saw for a gas price was $1.44/gal in Virginia, although in some states it is much lower.
Here's a pic of our route this year.
It was a good trip until March. Then Social Distancing came into being and everything was closed. We pretty much hung out at the camper during March and April.
We are already planning next year's trip and have half of our reservations already made.
Next blog entry will be on 13 Jul 20 as we are hoping to attend the Chenango Valley FROG Fest (FROG = Forest River Owners Group), but we worry that this event will be canceled.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 167
This is our goodbye pic from Candy Hill Campground.
We spent the day getting ready to leave in the morning.
Take out pizza for dinner, a little TV, then early to bed.
All is still well in the Boss camp.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 166
It rained most of the night and was really heavy early this morning. Got a free car wash! We spent the afternoon under a tornado watch. Had some very heavy thundershowers, but no tornados or strong winds.
Pic of the day is the office and store here at the campground.
We just hung out all day practising our social distancing skills. We are getting to be pros!

Winter Excursion 4, Day 165
Happy Easter to all!
The bunny showed up this morning and this is what I found on the table!
After breakfast Cath made a really nice mini Apple Pie! Here it is without it's top.
And here it is ready for the oven.
And the finished product! I can't wait until desert tonight and coffee in the morning!
I had to add this shot of Kaylee I took. She looks like she's winking, but really she's just waking up from a nap.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 164
We stayed in camp and watched TV most of the day.
Took Kaylee for her afternoon walk and got the pic of the day. This is her favorite place in the field where we let her run. It's just a vegetation trash pile, tree roots and such, but it has a few groundhogs and some mice. She thinks she's hunting...LOL!
You can see more of the stored trailers in the back ground and the golf course behind that.
Dinner, some shows, then off to bed.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 163
I got up early this morning and went to the local Walmart to stock up on groceries. I was back at the camper by 0830. Shopping is a new adventure now, lines, masks, and distancing. Hope it all ends in the near future.
Later we had to take a short ride to TSC for dog food. We drove through Old Town Winchester. It is very interesting and one day we will come back to explore it when everything is open. On the way home we ran into some snow!
Pic of the day is the field at the campground where we let Kaylee run. She loves her daily run and lets us know when it's time to go. The wind is still howling, but forecast to calm down this evening.
They store lots of campers here also. The golf course is behind the campers in the right of the pic.

Winter Excursion 4, Day 162
We had thunderstorms again early this morning. Afterward the wind started. We had gusts up to 55 mph! It was enough to shake the camper and the slideout even lifted up once! The wind blew some dead limbs off the tree where the truck is parked. These limbs could not have missed the truck by more than an inch.
We are running out of things to use for the pic of the day, but here's one at the campground pavilion.
More thunderstorms in the late afternoon and then temps took a nosedive. We will be home next week so we better get used to cold temps again.
