Winter Excursion 10, Day 63

We left camp this morning just before 0900. The five hour drive to Dames Ferry State Park, GA was uneventful, which is want we want.
We arrived at the park around 1430 and were greeted by some of the employees and the other camp host. They were happy to see us. You would think we were their long lost best friends. It did our heart good to know that they really like us!
We did minimal set up as it is windy and temps are in the low 40s. They are supposed to dip in the 20s tonight.
We really love this park and our site. The view of the lake is specular from our site. The sunsets are usually fantastic. I'll post pics over the next four months.
All is well in the Boss Camp!

Winter Excursion 10, Day 62

We spent the day packing up, getting any last minute supplies we needed, and cleaning up the camper and our site.
We met the Kids, Kiddos, and Mary at Holy City Brewery. We had a great meal. The Philly Steak Hoagies were on special. The beer was good as usual.
Here's Brian and my favorite Granddaughter.
This is Wesley and Nicole by this giant thing I have no idea what it is!
Here's Cath and Mary (Nicole's Mom).
And Cath and I.
We all said our goodbyes and Cath and I were in bed by 2100. We are off to Dames Ferry and Camp Hosting tomorrow.
It's been a fun six weeks in Charleston!

Winter Excursion 10, Day 61

Around lunch time we went over to the Kids house. Brian and I taped off the new front door and he started the staining process. It is going to look great, by it will take around five coats!
We all left for a movie around 1500. For the past week or so we have been watching all the Avatar flics. The new one (#3) just came out and we got to see it in 3D. It was fabulous!
After the show everyone went to Evos Pizza for a late dinner. It was really good as usual.
We were home by 2100 and in bed by 2130.
Tomorrow is pack-up and say goodbye day!

Winter Excursion 10, Day 60

It was a very lazy day! We are still recovering from all the festivities!
I did a small rework on the extra sewer hose carrier. I was not happy with one of the clamps, now I'm happy.
We hung out at camp all day and yakked with a few of the neighbors. I did a walk around the campground and picked out the sites we would like for next year. This site tends to flood when it rains, like 2 inches deep!
We got our KFC fix for dinner, watched a little TV, and hit the rack early.
Two more days here and we are off to Georgia.

Winter Excursion 10, Day 59

We got back to camp this morning around 1100. We had a really fun time the past few days with the Kids and Kiddos, but it was nice to be back to our tiny house.
We put away all our Christmas stuff and did a little camp maintenance.
We made a commissary run and picked up a few things we needed.
For the most part today we just relaxed, it will take a few days to recover from all the festivities!

Winter Excursion 10, Day 58

Merry Christmas!
The usual Christmas craziness started around 0730. As the Kiddos are getting older we get to sleep in past 0400!

After breakfast it was time for Brian and I to go to work. Here's my work outfit.

Kennedy helped me with the new wig and beard. This suit is really hot and with the warm weather it was an uncomfortable four hours at Brian's Club. We got back home around 1500.
Christmas Dinner was fantastic. We had a beef tenderloin done on the grill rotisserie with all the fixins'.
After we got everything all cleaned up we watched another movie, but only a few of us made it through the whole thing. These crazy days and late nights are getting to us older folks! LOL!

Winter Excursion 10, Day 57

We left camp this morning and drove over to the Kids and Kiddos house. We will be spending the next two days there.
The weather here has turned very warm. Our temps are in the high 70s and forecast to stay that way for awhile.
After all her baking Cath finally put out a plate of cookies! After all it is Christmas Eve!
They were gone in an hour, so she put out some more.
We had our traditional Low Country Boil for dinner.
After dinner we watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I think I see something new each time I watch it.
After the movie it was off to bed. Santa's coming tonight!
