Winter Excursion 2, Day 2

We had a lazy morning after sleeping like bears last night. Left the campsite around 1000 and toured the back roads of the area. We drove down to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. We have been though this area many times on the Interstate, but today we went right through the cities. Old, old towns, with some beautiful buildings and old time row houses.
Continued up the back roads to Lenox and one of our favorite restaurants.

Had a good, home-cooked meal and got some eclairs for breakfast tomorrow.
Back at the camper; we walked the wild Vizsla, got the camper ready for freezing temps tonight, and watched some news.
Off to Caledonia State Park tomorrow near Chambersburg, PA.

Winter Excursion 2, Day 1

So here we go again! New truck and new camper! Cath and I are looking forward to this year's trip. Here's a pic of the camper and truck prior to leaving. We wish the weather would have looked like this, but this pic was from the Saturday before we left.
The weather yesterday and today was actually terrible, lots of rain and high winds, towing was not fun, but we made it. We traveled the back roads and did our best to avoid the Interstates. We used RT-11 almost the whole way. Before I-81 RT-11 was the only road north from Binghamton.
Here's a few pics from our first campground with this camper in Tunkhannok, PA.
They consider this a "transit" slot. Pull-through, so nice. Most of the campers here are full-timers and temps employed in the area, but it is a nice campground.
Here's a pic of the office and store from the back side. Campground's name is Cozy Creek.
And here's a pic of the stream (which is a river right now) by the tent sites at the campground.
I can't tell you how excited/happy Cath and I are to be on the road again. We are looking forward to all the upcoming adventures and will do our best to keep everyone informed.
Sweet & Sour Meatloaf with mashed potatoes for dinner.
We are both looking forward to a good night's sleep as we didn't get one last night (too excited!)
