Eel Weir Day 8

Got up this morning at 0800 to a sunny day and we were on the road by 0915. That was a good thing because as soon as we left Eel Weir the heavens opened up! We had thunderstorms the whole 15 miles to the Jacques Cartier State Park dump station. At the dump station there was a small line of campers, but when it was our turn the skies opened again. I didn't get to wet so all was well. We were home by 1130 and had the camper unpacked by 1400. It's been a great week.
We are looking forward to our winter trip in seven weeks!

Eel Weir Day 7

We got very little of the forecasted rain. Cath and I hung out in the camper most of the day and played some cribbage and Yahtzee.
In the afternoon I tried to use the generator, but it's broke! The engine runs fine, but it doesn't generate any power. We are a little upset as it only has about 80 hours on it. I'll get with Aaron when we get home, hopefully we can get it fixed.
We went over to Jerry and Carolyn's for ABs and dinner.
Off to bed for our last night at Eel Weir. It's been a fun week and a great campground. We will be back.

Eel Weir Day 6

The campground filled up a little, but it is still not full. This campground is a hidden gem, we will come back here again.
We spent the morning people watching and walking. Later in the afternoon we all played some "Lewisopoly" a game like monopoly, except with all Lewis County businesses and places. It was great fun the game lasted for hours!
Had real camp food for dinner, hamburgers and hotdogs. Cath and I sat by the fire till late as this was our last campfire this trip as rain is in the forecast for tomorrow.

Eel Weir Day 5

This is a pic of the neighbors in the campsites next to us. They moved in yesterday, really nice folks. On their two sites they have 2 campers, 2 boats, 3 tents, and 1 large pavilion tent. We call it "The City".
We've been working puzzles and enjoying the weather.
This puzzle was a gift from the Kiddos.
This puzzle has 1000 pieces! Megan gave it to us for the Kiddos to try this year.
The sun was just right and I got this shot of our view up the river. It looks like fall and that's the kind of weather we've been having, but actually it's just the light.

Eel Weir Day 4

Hung out around camp again today. This relaxing all the time is really nice!
Worked on the puzzle again and Megan finished it later in the afternoon.
Got a bunch of new neighbors and we had fun "people watching".
Another nice meal, a campfire, then off to bed.

Eel Weir Day 3

We wanted some Bacon & Eggs for breakfast so I fired up the grill. First I started the generator and then used my normal electric charcoal starter. All was fine for a few minutes and then the generator kicked off line and revved up it's RPMs. I shut it off and restarted it with the same results. I started researching generators for sale in the area and finally found one at Harbor Freight about 30 miles away.  Before leaving to go buy it I started ours up one more time and it worked just fine! It hasn't kicked off line all day! So we got our Bacon & Eggs for breakfast.
We took a few walks and hung around camp all day. We worked on a puzzle with Megan, and had a nice bratwurst meal with the Cartiers.
Temps will be in the 50s tonight, it should be great sleeping weather.

Eel Weir Day 2

The weather continues to be perfect! It's forecast to be great all week!
We spent the day around camp and did some fishing. Nothing to brag about just a bunch of little Brim and Sunfish.
Kaylee spent her day in her normal position.
Here's the view from our camper to the river.
It is our day to cook, so Cath and I spent the late afternoon getting it all ready. Dinner turned out good, BBQ chicken and Nicole's rice!
The campground is still empty, only us and one other camper that came in last evening. I'm sure it will be full for the weekend, but rain is forecast for both days.
