Summer 2017 Camping - Last Trip With This Camper - Day 8, 9 & 10

Lots of cribbage and book reading. We could have had better weather, but the last trip with this camper was still great.
Mom & I will miss this camper as we've made it a home away from home. As I write this I've been unloading our camper in preparation to get it ready to trade it in, kind of bitter sweet, but we are really looking forward to the new one and hope to get it ordered this week.
Here's a link to the new one. New Camper.
We really like this one and pan to get all the bells and whistles. We will post pics of the real deal, but we won't have it until September.
Thanks to all for following our blog. Hope to resume this fall.

Summer 2017 Camping - Last Trip With This Camper - Day 6 & 7

Best weather day we've had so far, cool and sunny for the past two days. The Mayflies have been hatching for and there must have been millions of them around for a couple of days. Good thing is they don't bite.
Hung around camp and played some cribbage and bones.
Had a good dinner of Spaghetti Carbonara, rolls, and salad. Sat by the campfire and then off to bed.
Looks like rain for the next two days.

Summer 2017 Camping - Last Trip With This Camper - Day 5

Had a good morning, nice breakfast and did some reading.
The girls did a little food shopping and stopped at this street sign. It's not quite spelled correct, but how fitting. LOL
We played some bones (dominoes) in the afternoon and had BBQ chicken for dinner.
The wind finally died down enough to get some fishing in. Jerry and I went out after dinner, but did not catch anything. We will try again tomorrow.
A little time by the campfire and then off to bed.

Summer 2017 Camping - Last Trip With This Camper - Day 4

Good weather day. Lots of sunshine, but too windy to fish.
We did a little camp maintenance and watched the boats on the Seaway.

Drove up to Alexandria Bay and visited a distillery/brewery called Dark Island Distillery. They brew beer and distill whiskey/bourbon, but the best was the hard cider. We brought a growler of it back to camp. Had a nice lunch at a tourist joint and the girls did a little shopping.
Stopped at a few other NY State Parks in the area just to check them out.
All in all was a nice day.
