Maiden Voyage Day 2

30 Sep 15
Spent the day exploring Erie PA.  Went west on RT20 and then east on RT5.  Beautiful country!
Had rain all night and most of the day.  Finally cleared late afternoon.
We are camped under a black walnut tree.  Fruit is the size of baseballs, pelted the camper all night, sounded like bombs going off.  Actually, we slept great as there was also a steady rain on the roof, very soothing.
Went thru a little town named GIRARD!  Quaint place founded 1806.
Back to the camper and had chili cheese dogs for dinner, a camp fire followed.
Oh Yea....had a few ABs also.
Tried to attach some pics to the blog, but no joy.  Might be the slow internet here, will keep trying.
Figured out how to post pics...have to use Chrome, IE won't support it.  Here's the first one (Lake Erie in the Background).

Maiden Voyage Day 1

29 Sep 15.
This is my first attempt at a blog.
Want to document our camping experiences to share with the family.  So here goes.....

Left home this morning at 0830.  First time I've towed the camper over 20 miles.
Lowville to near Erie, PA via I81 and I90.  GPS said 5 hours 11 minutes.  Took till 1500.  Never broke 65 MPH.  The weather sucked; especially heavy rain in the Buffalo area, but we made it with no issues, 320 miles.  Cath & I decided 300 miles is our limit per day (won't break my heart if we say 200). BTW: truck gets 9.2 mph while towing....lol.  Camped at Folly's End Campground, nice place, quiet, and our campsite is on a pretty stream.  Kaylee is beside herself; not sure where her kennel is and why she has to be on a leash all the time.  Smoked pork chops, baked beans, and salad for dinner, tasted great.  We plan on exploring the area tomorrow, will post our findings tomorrow evening.  All is good with the Boss "home away from home".
