Winter Excursion 10, Day 34

We left the Kid's house this morning at 0630 as the cleaning team is showing up at 0700.
After five nights away from the camper all was well except the propane tank had emptied keeping the heater on! We switched over to the other tank and got the place warmed up again. We did crawl back into bed and slept until almost 1000!
We spent the rest of the day doing a few projects in the camper. Our kitchen island was turned into our magnet location.
Those two squares on the island are exactly 24 X 24 inches. I found a couple of magnet boards on Amazon and they fit perfectly. We have been collecting the magnets since we started our Winter Trips 10 years ago and use to display in our other camper. It was fun to try to remember all the places and campgrounds we have visited. There is even a little room at the bottom for more magnet adventures!
I forgot to mention that during this past holiday weekend Wesley has become quite the cribbage player. He is having tournaments with Cath, Brian, and I and gives us a run for our money.

Winter Excursion 10, Day 33

We all did sleep-in this morning.
After breakfast Brian and I took the Oyster shells to the oyster recycle yard and made a stop at Home Depot for a few items we needed for the house Christmas lights decorating job.
We started around 1130 and figured it would take maybe a few hours. That turned into working until dark!
The worst part of the job is moving this 31 foot ladder that Brian has. The thing is unwieldly to say the least and probably weighs over one hundred pounds. When extended it is really hard to balance. We came close once to breaking a window!.
Next year we are getting a lift!
We had pizza for dinner and watched the Bills game. They won so Wesley did not have to go into mourning.
Once again we stayed the night. I'm not sure if we still have a camper or not!

Winter Excursion 10, Day 32

Oyster Roast Day!
Brian and I spent the day getting all set up for the Oyster Roast. Everyone decided we need to be taking more pictures as we have been remiss.
The party began around 1730 and lasted until midnight. The oysters were probably the best we've ever had. They were fresh and very clean! I'm estimating there were 50 - 75 folks at the roast! We had three fire pits set up and burning as the temps were in the low 40s. There was tons of food. Brain had the big screen set up and showing the football games. A good time was had by all.
A few of the folks stayed and helped us clean up. By midnight you could not tell we'd had a big party. I'm sure we will sleep late tomorrow.

Winter Excursion 10, Day 31

It's Black Friday and we did not patriciate!
Jerry & Carolyn left around noon after we had lunch with them at Cod Father's Fish and Chips and spent a little time at Holy City Brewery. I picked up a dozen beer glasses for the kegerator.
I spent the rest day cleaning up and straighten up the garage in preparation for the annual Oyster Roast tomorrow.

Winter Excursion 10, Day 30

Happy Thanksgiving!
Everyone slept in a little and then we had a nice brunch. Brian had to go to work as they are serving over 300 meals in three shifts for Thanksgiving.
We spent the day cooking our meal, watching the Parade, the dog show, and football games.
Jerry & Carolyn arrived from Edisto for dinner. It was great to see them. They are spending the night.
We had dinner around 1800, everything was delicious!
After dinner the Kiddos gave us a little concert. Kennedy plays the voila and Wesley plays the clarinet. They are both in the their school orchestras and have concerts this Holiday season.

Winter Excursion 10, Day 29

We left the Kid's and headed back to the camper.
After showers we loaded up our clothes and Thanksgiving groceries and drove back to the Kid's.
We picked up the shrimp for peel-n'-eat and started prep work for T-Day dishes. I did the shrimp and Cath finished her pumpkin Pie and some other prep for tomorrow's dinner..
After a nice Schnitzel dinner we all watched the movie "F1", it was really good!
