The rain started this morning around 0100. It rained hard until 0600. The last of our pack up, hookup, and dumping was done with a light rain. We were on the road (I-90) by 0730 and arrived at our new campground around 1530. The drive was uneventful except for crossing the Mississippi!
The CTC count for today was 217 a new record! The drive was 403 miles.
Blue Mounds SP in MN is really nice. The campground has a problem with it's water supply (e coli) so there is no water except for the toilets. We filled the fresh water tank in the camper at the city Park in Luverne, MN, about 5 miles away.
Here's a pic of the campsite.
There is 70+ sites here, but only about a dozen campers are here.
The bathhouse, too bad there is no water, the facilities are really nice.
There is a lot of this red rock in the area.
The park also boasts it's own buffalo herd. We saw them at a distance when we arrived. Tomorrow we will try to get closer for some pics. The trees you see in the campground are the only ones in the area. Every where else is prairie.
Tell Jacob to get a pic of the turtle if he sees it again.
