Winter Excursion 5, Day 119

We got lucky. We were able to pack up everything outside before the rains started last night. This morning we got a break in the rain while we finished up. Neither of us felt a drop!
We said goodbye to our new friends Jim & Crystal and then headed to Honeycomb CG, AL
We had a little bit of rain on the way, but the trip was actually uneventful and that's the kind of trip we want!
Arrived at the new campground just before 1300, the place is almost empty. We got all set up and were watching TV and keeping warm by 1430. Temps are in the 40s. Here's a few pics of the new site (Site #46).

It's been a good day and a good move.

  1. We had arrived at the campground at Oak Mountain State Park and Crystal immediately fell in love with Kaylee. While I backed in the RV she met both Craig and Cath. We arrived and was not able to hook up to water because our RV was leaking from under portion. Long story short Craig came over and found the problem and told us what part was need and the pex tool. He then fixed the leak and we were able to use water instead of using jugs and the shower house for showers. You made a difference in our trip and we enjoyed meeting you both. It is so good to see that there are people that are so nice and have the skills. I guess compared to a helicopter an RV is pretty basic.
