Winter Excursion 6, Day 86 The Life of a Camp Host

The new bird feeder is a big hit with all the birds. The squirrels are also enjoying it. They hang out under the feeder and scarf up everything the birds drop. The squirrels tried to shimmy up the pole, but I greased it with bike chain lube. They get about half way up, but then slide back down to the ground. They have finally given up even trying!

The weather remains cold, but dry. We are expecting 25 tonight. Filled the fresh water tank and disconnect the hoses at night and let the faucets drip. The locals say it will get warmer in March.
