We left camp this morning after breakfast and headed to the Carolina Cider Joint south on Rt 17. We were a little disappointed as the prices have sky-rocketed! We use to pickup some grits, hush puppy mix, and a few nick-knacks, but not anymore. They wanted $16 for a coffee cup that we paid $4.95 three years ago! So we picked up nothing..LOL
Headed back to camp we stopped at a Church's Chicken joint, but the septic system was out so there was no hot food. We drove to Ravenel and had lunch at the Bojangles there.
On the way back to camp we stopped and got this pic.
We have been up and down this road for the last 7 years, but never noticed it!We also stopped at the King's Farm Market, not far from Edisto. It is usually closed as we are here in January when they are closed. Saw this bench out front and had to google what Cheerwine is.
Cheerwine is a cherry-flavored soft drink by Carolina Beverage Corporation of Salisbury, North Carolina. It has been produced since 1917, claiming to be "the oldest continuing soft drink company still operated by the same family".
We got back to camp around 1400. Toy stopped by and asked if I wanted to do some fishing this afternoon. Dumb question...LOL! Fishing has been lousy this year, but I got this 15" monster. The other guys didn't even get any bites.
Back at camp it's fish for dinner!
