Cath and I were in charge of dinner for the group today. We are having Chicken Gyros and a Greek salad to go with them. Cath spent the day making tzatziki, marinating the chicken, preparing the salad, and just organizing everything. My job was to set up the Blackstone. This task turned into almost an all day affair. I got everything set up by noon and then started to hook up the propane. Problem was I could not find the adapter to hook the gas into the flattop! I know it was here somewhere as we had it hooked up the whole time we were hosting, but I could not find it (I still haven't)! I finally drove the 20 miles to Lowes and picked up a new hose and adapter. Back at camp I had to remove one of our propane bottles to be able to use my new hose. I finally got the flattop going by mid afternoon.
The meal turned out to be a big success! Later in the evening Cath and I spent time by the campfire again until almost dark. It's been a fun day!
