We left Fowlers Hollow at 0800!
Did a 350 mile drive today. Did a little Interstate, but mostly backroads. We arrived at our new campground around 1530.
Sea Mist RV Military Campground in Virginia Beach is really nice! Here's a pic of our site. You can see the beach access sign in the background.
We are only 150 feet from the beach via a nice boardwalk. Here's the view looking north.
And looking east.
One more looking south.
This is a really nice campground, full hook-ups, 50 amp, and a nice bathhouse.
There was a wedding happening on the beach when we arrived. Our campsite is right in the beach access trail, so we got to see the entire wedding party,
A good night sleep is in order tonight and some exploring tomorrow is on the agenda.

Winter Excursion 3, Day 6
Hung out at the camper, played some cribbage, and then headed to Kristen's for dinner.
Fran is doing good! She can crawl and pull her self up now. What a cutie!
Kristen's in-laws were there from France. We had a fun time with them, the language barrier was not bad. They are our age so we had a lot in common.
Headed back to camp around 2100. Did the hour drive through Perry County (backwoods..LOL) and hit the sack. Gain an hour tonight and we hope to hit the road by 0800 tomorrow morning. All is well in the Boss camp.

Winter Excursion 3, Day 5
We had a lazy morning, a nice breakfast, and then did a few camp chores.
We left camp and headed for Camping World in Harrisburg for a few supplies. When we left we were the only camper in the entire campground.
Stopped at the West Shore Farmer's Market in Lemoyne, PA. I remember this place from when I was a kid. Some of the same vendors are still there! Picked up some soft pretzels, a nice steak, and some scrabble.
Headed back to camp and got this pic of the village sign for Blain, PA. It was first settled in 1763! Some of the houses look like it...LOL.
When we arrived back at camp around 1430, the place was full, every site is occupied!
We had a nice fire and a few toddies before our steak dinner.
Of course it rained the entire evening, but it is supposed to be nice tomorrow.

Winter Excursion 3, Day 4
Woke up to rain! Packed up in the rain! First half of our trip today was in the rain!
Drove I81 to Hazelton and the rain stopped, then jumped on the backroads for the rest of the trip. The sun actually came out!
Arrived at our new campground (Fowler's Hollow State Park) near Blain, PA. This is a very small campground in the middle of nowhere, just our type. The campground has 12 sites. We are the only campers here and it looks like it will be that way until we leave on Sunday.
Here's a few pics.
The leaves are still on in PA!
Kaylee is happy, she can run free as no one else is here.
We will do a little exploring tomorrow and yep, rain is in the forecast!

Winter Excursion 3, Day 3
Spent the morning hanging around camp and did a little more touring of Cortland. Watched some TV in the afternoon.
The rain started this afternoon and is forecast to last through the night and into tomorrow. That means I get to do my favorite thing...pack up in the rain. Oh well at least we get a free car wash! Off to Pennsylvania tomorrow.

Winter Excursion 3, Day 2
We had a great night's sleep, a lazy morning, and a good breakfast. Then we headed out to do a little exploring.
First stop was Chequaga Falls in Montour Falls, NY
This is the view looking down main street.
Here's a closer pic in the little park by the falls.
One more view.
We stayed on RT 13. Here's the southern tip of Seneca Lake. We drove all the way to Corning, NY. We stopped at the glass museum, but it is not dog friendly. Cath spent a little time in the gift shop.
On the way back we got these pics of some Halloween decorations in Cortland, NY.
WOW!
Picked up a few supplies and headed back to camp. We enjoyed this drive as we've not ever been to this part of NY.

Winter Excursion 3, Day 1
Here we go! Day 1 of another Winter Adventure.
We left home this morning around 1100 after closing up the house for the winter. We were glad to get out of Upstate NY, this was the view yesterday morning!😲
We only drove to Cortland, NY (south of Syracuse), about 120 miles from home. We had originally planned to go all the way to Carlisle, PA, but as we were not leaving until 1100 it was just too far (320 miles). We will spend three days here. It actually gives us a chance to get used to the camper again! Like we need that...LOL
We went through some really old and cool villages on the drive as we did the back roads. Here is Canastota, NY, founded in 1796!
Here's a few views of the campsite.
View from the camper. And view of our camper from across the pond.
We are at the New York Country Music Park and Hall of Fame. If the rain stops tomorrow we will do some exploring. We usually just blow through this area on RT 81.
It's good to be on the road again!😊
