We left camp this morning and drove to the Carlyle lake COE visitor Center. There were some really nice displays (bees, snakes, and birds). We asked about campgrounds and were told there were two others that we had not visited. So of course we drove to see them and of course it started raining with thunder storms! Both of these CGs were almost directly across the lake from our campsite. They were nice as COEs usually are. We decided if we ever come back to this area we will stick with the State Park we are in.
We chilled all afternoon and did some reading and packing up camp as we leave tomorrow.
We did go out to dinner at at new Mexican Restaurant in the area. It was really good. If we are ever back here we would do it again.
We are off to points west tomorrow. The drive will be almost 400 miles!
