First order of business today was to explore the campground. It's a big one with over 250 sites! You can see the lake in the background.
If you look close you can see our camper in the middle of the pic. This pic was taken from the top of the dam!
Here's the dam. This is the other side from the lake.
And here's the road on the dam. It's probably a 100 ft drop-off on either side! Not my favorite road. I was also glad we passed no other vehicles going the opposite way. The road is barley wide enough for one truck, let alone two. The dam road is 2 miles long! Here's the dam. This is the other side from the lake.
After the campground tour we headed to town for gas and a few supplies. It's 25 miles to the nearest gas station! We are not use to these distances that are common in the west. Even the secondary roads are posted at 70 mph!
We stopped a what GPS said was a butcher shop.
The folks that run this accounting office and meat market also have a ranch. They sell the meat from the accounting office! She is the accountant and he is the rancher! We saw this silo in the distance during our travels today. I'm pretty certain it was not built this way! Can you say tornado?
Back at camp we drove down to the lake. The water level is extremely low. Probably 50 feet low! Those trees should not be showing.
