Woke up again this morning to another beautiful day, sunny and in the 50s.
We ran out of water in the fresh water tank last night, so I filled it this morning. After filling I decided to dump the black and gray tanks into the blue tote and take the tote to the dump station. Mind you this is my first attempt with the new camper, I had it down to a science with the old camper. Well the new camper has two dump valves (actually three). I had rigged up two dump hoses with a "Y" connection at the end and then a single dump hose from there. This setup will work well when we have full hookups, but really sucks when trying to dump into the blue tote, as the blue tote is actually a little higher than the dump valves and as we all know water (especially gray and black water) does not run uphill very well. After much swearing and tearing out of hair I finally got all the tanks emptied into the blue tote and the whole place cleaned up and put back together. I now have a new plan (method) for dumping into the blue tote when we don't have full hookups, but I won't go into that now as I'm still embarrassed and pissed about my ordeal this morning.
After all this fun with the waste water I took a nice shower and donned clean clothes. We then headed out to Kristen's. We took the back roads through southeastern PA and saw some really nice old towns and villages. We did a little shopping (got some Rappa scrabble) and then had a great afternoon and evening with Kristen and family.
It rained on the way back to camp, but we made it and are looking forward to a good night's sleep.
Sorry no pics today, I'll make up for it tomorrow.
Good thing Wesley hasn't visited your camper lately... yuck!
