Winter Excursion 1, Day 113

The day started out with a reminder of Jacob. I rolled over in bed this morning to check the time. Clock said 0630 and as it is moving day I decided to get up. Turned on the coffee pot, got dressed and fired up the computer to check the news. Low and behold the computer time said 0430, checked the weather clock and yep, 0430. Seems young Mister Jacob had been playing with my bedroom clock!
Got Cath up at 0630 (the real time) and we were on the road by 0800. It was a nice drive down RT 82 the whole way. Lots of farming and industry along the way and a ton of Alabama and Mississippi small towns. Arrived at the campground around 1400.
Warfield Point Park (http://www.warfieldpointpark.com/) is great. We arrived at the gate and were greeted by Jerome, a great guy. He told us to pick any site we liked and he would check us in tomorrow. The campground also delivers your wood and picks up trash from your site daily. Our campsite is 50 yards from the Mississippi river. There are some sites 10 yards from the river, but the wind can howl and the barges make a racket all night. We like our site. Here's a few pics:
Looking out from our site.
Looking from the river to our site.
And my favorite; the firearms I can handle, but the top part is not gonna happen!
Cath and Kaylee by the river, you can see the barge off the point.

 Looking south on the river.
 Looking north.
We had a nice sunset this evening.
 And the moon was beautiful.
We will sleep good tonight after the drive and setup. Pizza for dinner, sit outside for awhile, then off to bed.
