Winter Excursion 1, Day 115

Quick breakfast and then off to see the sights. We left camp at 1030 and headed to Vicksburg, MS. This was the site of a huge battle (siege) during the Civil War. The vets returned to the battle field in 1900. This is one of the most documented battlefields from the civil war. The park is awesome and if you are ever near Vicksburg you need to see it.
These hills and mounds were built during the war.
This is one of the Union ships that laid siege to Vicksburg.
On the way back to camp we had to stop here.
The sign says it all.
And this one backs it up.
Steak, baked potatoes, and salad for dinner. Off to bed. Tomorrow is another adventure!
