Left camp this morning and headed north on RT 1 to Winterville Mounds Park and Museum (http://www.mdah.ms.gov/new/visit/winterville-mounds/). Place was really interesting and the person at the museum was very friendly and informative. These mounds were built by Native Americans around 1000 AD. Check out the website for more info.
Here's the entrance to the museum.
And here's one of the larger mounds, there are about seven of them at this location.Stopped at the grocery on the way back to camp.
Spent the evening with our neighbors Brad and Liz. Nice couple, we had a good time yakking with them. They leave in the morning.
Another nice sunset. Stir Fry for dinner, a campfire, then off to bed.
