Did a little camp maintenance and then got the truck washed.
We left camp around 1100 and drove to Cleveland, MS. Quaint town and like all the Delta towns we've seen seems to be dying.
Here's a pic of the downtown area. The walk way used to be train tracks, but they are long gone.
Here's the old train depot, it's now a museum, but it was closed.
You can read the brief history on the plaque.
We did find a decent Mexican restaurant. The nachos were excellent and the margaritas washed the nachos down nicely.
After Cleveland we drove to the Pecan House in Indianola, MS
That guitar is made from pecans. There are tons of pecan groves all over this state. We were surprised to find the pecan tree is not the state tree of Mississippi, but of Texas. The Mississippi state tree is the Magnolia.
Back at camp we had planned shrimp for dinner, but we were both so full from the nachos that we split a Spam sandwich. Watched a Mel Gibson flic (Lethal Weapon III) and then off to bed.
