Left camp mid morning and took a long drive to Russellville, AR and back. The drive took us through the Ouachita National Forest. We drove on RTs 27/28 and came back on RT 7. The drive was beautiful, mostly hardwood forest, lots of streams, lakes and rivers. We went through a few small towns on the drive. Here's a couple of pics of the town of Plainview, AR.
This is a pic of the Corps of Engineers dam on the Arkansas River at Russellville. There are campgrounds on both sides of the river, the one on the Russellville side is very nice. We may stay there some day.
Here's a pic of the dam from the other side.Drive was about 250 miles. All in all it was a nice day. Back at camp got the fire going and had a few ABs. Shrimp and salad for dinner, then off to bed.
