Family Reunion Trip, Day 44

Today was a travel day. We did 320 miles and the CTC count was 143! We have fun doing this and it breaks up some of the long stretches between towns. The trip today was almost all on secondary rods (our favorite). The highlight of the drive today was our stop at Crater Lake.
Here's a few pics. No explanation is really necessary, it is really breath-taking beautiful. I'm glad we did the detour.
The following pics tell the story.

We got our passport stamp and of course picked up another geography shirt and another magnet to add to the board.
Cath packed a nice lunch and we stopped on the way out of the park at a picnic area for cheese, crackers, smoked white fish, and cherries. Oh, almost forgot wine too. The picnic area was on a nice stream and Kaylee got a drink and a swim.
We drove though a lot of National Forests today. Started at the Willamette, then the Deschutes, Umpqua, Fremont-Winema, and the Modoc. We are camped just outside the Modoc National Forest at Likely, CA. California took what was left of our cherries, I think the inspector was hungry! On another note the gas prices suck here!😡
The new campground is nice, in the middle of nowhere, and just what we like. We will be exploring tomorrow.
